Best Mars Volta Era ever!!!😢
Nuclear
that interviewer looks like their current bassist, what a coincidence.
4:21 i have no words for this, simply amazing!
This interviewer is fucking awesome! Really brought out a great side of omar
I don't think I'll ever wrap my head around the robot talk drum beat.
Sooo fucking good. This is the stuff people.
06:37
Im sure this was the tour i had tickets to see them at in Manchester and they cancelled the gig "due to illness" about an hour before the doors were due to open. I was so fucking gutted 😢
Este we es el actual bajista?
Wow,you're so tough throwing down a drunk lady, let's get this guy a purple heart😂
This rules!
Those roll off harmonics. . . Uhhhm yes
I think they did as poor of a job on their new album as possible so that people would reminisce on their old material and go boost their streaming numbers
The new incarnation bares no resemblance to this, honestly just hurting their legacy but I guess it makes them some money in the short term
@@gooseabuse It's been 20 years since Deloused, people change a lot in that time. And so do their tastes, influences and ambitions. You might not like their new stuff but saying it hurts their legacy is nonsense.
The ending is glorious. Powerful
lol @ ikey playing "well you neednt" at 3:30
banger.
FUCK YEA FOUND IT BETTER VERSION IF THERE COULD HE ONE YOU'RE WELCOME ua-cam.com/video/BlBhU4M8onk/v-deo.html
Oh and of course RIP i-key
Except when they came with system of a down here in Houston iv seen them Everytime they've came since 07' and met him and chilled and bought merch and got autographs at a small small venue called Fitzgerald's in Houston and it was Travis Barker Cedric and Omar and I forgot the bassist but they're called antamasque and omg it was amazing iv been crushed up gates and been close but here he's like foot in front of you and Omar omg.. Had to get two tattoos as well. But I always find myself coming back to this video for years this and a video in a smaller club from the right side in front of Juan and ike are the two best live versions of take the veil🤙🤙🤙
I swear I saw this same line-up and set at the LA2 in London. Do you know where this video was shot?
electric ballroom in london i believe
@@heptonaut Awesome, I was at this show too. I was up at the back though in the raised area above the dancefloor. The LA2 gig was more memorable for me as I was so close to it and it was a smaller venue but this Ballroom show comes across amazingly on the video - I reckon they were able to take sound from the desk to get this good a live mix.
@@Yesbryn WOW you were at one of the most legendary Mars Volta gigs of all time. No joke, you were a part of history that night ! ✌️
Of course the interviewer came prepared. All so interesting
Amazing
Best rock ensemble of post-modernism
Incredibly inventive.
In high school, I saw TOOL 5 times, The Mars Volta twice. I went to a bunch of other dope shows. I feel blessed.
those 2 bands is all you need
@@blackskate_unltd95 absolute blasphemy.
Lucky bastard
MORE!
Que pedazo de interpretación instrumental ❤💫
I would eat these!
Ray bareto, Puerto Rico represent!
Has anyone noticed that TMV (minus their drummers except Deantoni Parks) were like the most formal looking punks ever?
Fitting
12:30 - 12:40, that moment when everyone knows to change and the drum fill kicks in. That shit is electric!
This album was on permanent rotation in my CD player for a long time in the early 2000's. So damn good.
Holy fuck!!
Karaoke💚
❤
Wwwwwooow!
awesome track! outstanding stuff
wow blast from the past. Haven't heard in so long. I wish I had pushed to trick out the vocals haha.
One of the best Omar interviews
met this dude last night told me he was the best musician in the world. im confused!
Jeez, The Volta have never failed to give me goosebumps, it's crazy
It’s very important that I let you know that this is one of the best interviews of any bands I’ve ever seen. Very good research. I could see that the questions opened him up and released some happiness and memories. Nice work.
Guitar & bass solo with tabs right here : ua-cam.com/video/JlkXifAh-1I/v-deo.html
That Juan solo holy fuck. This is what kids are going to be studying 20 years from now just like we study Jaco today.
Does anyone know who shot this and with what type of camera?
this is from Ryan's Rock Show. ua-cam.com/video/7apTHyOHD80/v-deo.html
Leaving Theodore aside was a biiiiiiig ass mistake, and they know it
Lol yeah such a big mistake that the album immediately after they dropped him won them a grammy. Stop acting like you know anything about their personal life, it's gross.
littlebug they’ve acknowledged publicly that it was a bad move, and changed the band forever. If you’re telling me a Grammy makes up for Jon Theodore not being your drummer anymore, I’d say watch this video again, and listen to their first two albums while you’re at it.
@@grimcreeper729 If Cedric and Omar saw your comment... they would probably laugh at it... Both members don't give a DAMN about a stupid grammy... Yeah it's nice to have one, but I'm sure they care waaaay more about the music and the chemistry of their members... Thomas Pridgen is a GIANT douche and had made a few passes on Cedrics wife, hence why they canned him... Jon left cause he got sick of Omar controlling everything.... Omar and Cedric have both stated that Jon was/is the true Mars Volta drummer and they feel stupid for letting him go. If Omar wasn't such a dictator then Jon would still be in the band.
Bedlam had it's moments but I stopped going to see them live and caring after Theodore got the boot. Prigden is the perfect example of how being a technical player doesnt make you a better drummer. Noctourniquet was a pretty dope album though. Bummed they stopped touring on it and broke up before coming to the US.
@@grimcreeper729 100’s of talentless hacks have won Grammys therefore your argument is invalid dear
very good interview
Cant believe i've only heard of this song nos.
Joy! Never heard this before. Thanks for the up +Octopuskoolaid.
